  1. I am offering a $50,000 reward to anyone who can show me the gun that got up on its own and killed someone. The only thing that gun control laws do is disarm law-abiding citizens.

  2. Canada just went through a gun registration program. After $1B and four years, they scrapped the effort. The author suggests that Russia was able to disarm the citizens, but after watching the Canadian fiasco, I have no idea how the Soviets were able.

No one in Arizona is going to surrender their weapons by free choice, and unless they adopt a model different than the one tried in Canada, the government isn’t going to be able to force it either.

Fact is, guns are here in Arizona, they are ubiquitous, and given the success of the war on drugs, I cannot see possibly how a war on guns even has a semblance of a chance. This whole issue seems like an attempt for the media to get viewers and very little else.

In other news, your government just approved a $1.6B payment to Goldman Sachs for its NY headquarters under the guise of saving the nation from a fiscal disaster. Also included were tax breaks to Nascar, Disney, and mining companies who buy safety equipment.

I wonder if we can together find some suggestions on how to deal with breach of public trust.
