Episode 44 – The borders debate frustrations

The borders issue never seemed like a big deal until about six months ago.  There was some discussion on it, but how a libertarian felt about the state controlling the borders was usually predictable based on how much government he believed should exist.  Nowadays, whether or not a person believes the state should exist is not a good predictor of his position on the borders.  What’s worse is that is seems as though a frank, honest conversation isn’t even possible with the constant straw men and accusations of “communist” if you don’t fall in line with the prescribed position.  So while it is one of the hotter topics as of late, how really important is it?  Do we have bigger fish to fry or is it still worth spending time on?
