Rollo McFloogle is a (Current Year – 1988)-year-old supporter of liberty and questioner of political authority.   He started out like so many as a neocon Republican, but found himself on the losing end of a lot of arguments.  He noticed inconsistencies in his beliefs and began attempting to correct them in order to find truth.  It led him to come to the conclusion that the state has no legitimate authority.  He’s not strictly either a deontological or consequentialist libertarian, but instead believes that there are many ways to come to the conclusion of liberty.  His biggest influences are Michael Huemer and Murray Rothbard.

Rollo has a degree in mechanical engineering and currently works as a reliability engineer in the petrochemical industry.  He has previously held engineering positions in both the nuclear and pharmaceutical industries.  Given his career in engineering, he especially has interest in free market solutions to regulation and safety and how those ideas are already in practice today.

Rollo also contributes at The Conscious Resistance.  Articles can be found here.

Hey 🙂 Thanks for all you do to support free markets – I read your pieces when I can. I was hoping you could help a fellow blogger out in the cause of liberty!

I am protesting Louisiana’s absurd laws against discounts on milk. Yes, you read it right. Discounts on milk are not allowed in the state, and state officials have threatened stores for daring to put milk on sale.

Please help protest these laws: http://tiffany267.wordpress.com/2014/02/13/update-protest-louisiana-ban-on-discount-milk

Also please share on Facebook/Twitter! Thanks so much for always supporting liberty!

[…] Rollo McFloogle shared this video clip of Michael Huemer’s “The Irrationality of Politics” talk on Tedx. I don’t agree 100% with Huemer’s conclusions, but he certainly makes some good points about challenging your political beliefs every now and then. My hope is that more people will do just that and think about embracing Liberty more and more each day. […]
