On the heels of any tragedy or disaster, especially when it deals with guns, everyone focuses on the groups making the most noise about what to do.  Everyone’s talking about David Hogg, Emma Gonzalez, and the March For Our Lives crowd and how they want to have the state take drastic measures to put an end to gun violence.  And while it’s not wrong to pay attention to and comment on that, it is not those movements that necessarily are the ones that bring about the most political change.

What we really need to worry about is what is happening right under our noses.  It’s sometimes met with bipartisan applause.  And sometimes it’s met with complete disinterest.  But either way, it creates a lot of precedence and is what really erodes away at our rights.  We talk about two cases in particular in this week’s podcast episode.  Did the local police save the day or are there problems with how they handled these situations?  And very importantly, how would these situations be handled without the state?
